pleased to Subscribe the following Sums Vizt.

The Clerk acquainted the Court that since the
last Genl: Court there had been divers other Charitable
Donations from the worthy Governors of this Hospital
and others Vizt.

Mr President acquainted the Court that the
immediate Occasion of calling the same was to choose an
Hospitaller in the room of the Revd: Mr Drew deceased

And thereupon this Court proceeded to the
choice of a proper Person to succeed him And the Petition
of Mr Thomas Wingfield who was the only Petitioner
being read And he being called in was Unanimously chosen
into the said Officer To hold the same from Laday next
with the usual Salary & Perquisites during the Pleasurer
of this Court

Thesd: Mr Wingfield in a respectful manner
express'd himself to the Court. Gentlemen. I am extremely
oblig'd to you for this Favour, & shall endeavour to express my
thanks to you for it in a way that I know will be by for the most
agreeable to you a faithfull & diligent discharge of the trust
you have reposed in me. I will constantly in [..] cate to the
several Patients that shall from time to time be admitted
into this Hospital the true Practical use to be made of their
Afflictions: & shall endeavour to inspire them with a proper
sense of gratitude to you their generous benefacton & of
thankfulness to Almighty God for raising up such a worthy
sett of men to support them in their dis [..]
