Wee have alsoe Agreed with the said Mr: Beighton Mr: Sharpe and Mr. Fisher
To Lett them a Lease of Two Old Houses in St: Thomas's One in the Possession of Mr: Lawder
Blacksmith lately in Lease to Mr: Briscoe and the other Adjoyneing Westwards to that House
and now in Lease to Mr: [..] wherein were Six Yeares to Come at Lady day 1703: at
Two Pounds Four Shillings P Ann: And that these Two Houses shall be granted in the
same Lease with the abovemenconed Old Houses and Ground adjoyneing to these Two
Houses Southward which were Lett to the said Mr: Beighton Mr: Sharpe and Mr: Fisher
the Fourth of May last The House in Lawders possession for Thirty Four Yeares from Lady
day 1703: and the House in Lease to Siries for Eight and Twenty Yeares from Lady day
which will be in the Yeare of our Lord 1709: At which time that Lease will Expire At
the Rent of One pound Sixteen Shillings P Ann: till Lady day 1709 and as Four pounds P Ann for the Remainder of the said Term
over and besides the Rent reserved for the Houses and Ground Lett as aforesaid the said
Fourth of May last And they are to Lay out Six Hundred pounds in New Building of
One or More Dwelling House Houses of the second Rate of Building upon the Ground of
the said Two Old Houses and in other New Buildings and Improvements to the made
upon the other Ground Lett to them the said Fourth of May last and upon the Ground
Formerly Lett to the abovenamed George Davison< no role > the Lease whereof was lately Assigned
to the said Mr: Beighton Since the makeing of which Agreement it Appeares to Us That
they gave already laid out more then the said Six Hundred pounds in their New Buildings
upon the said Ground.

Wee have alsoe Agreed with Mr: Ward one Tennant of an Old Bake House
and a peice of Garden Ground in St: Thomas's parish lyeing amongst the Old Tenements
Designed to be pulled downe for the makeing a New Street leadeing towards the Ways
Pond upon a Lease wherein were Six Yeares and Three Quarters to Come at Lady day 1708
at Three Pounds and Six Shillings P Ann: To Surrender his said Lease forthwith and in
Consideracon thereof and of the Charge he is to be at in repaireing the Tenement
herein after menconed and in Building Ovens therein and makeing the same fitt for
a Bake house Wee have Agreed to Lett him a Lease of an Old Tenement in the same
parish lyeing in the Street over against Three Hereing Court late in Lease with the
Tenement adjoyneing to it to Mr: Cowles and Mr: Nixon at Five pounds and Tenn Shilling
P Ann: which Lease Expired at Lady day last for a Terme of Twenty One Yeares from
Lady day aforesaid at Four and Forty Shillings P Ann: with usuall Covenants.

In pursuance of the Bireccons of this Court for the makeing such Alteration in the
Offices Apartments and otherwise as wee should find might be most convenient and
Suiteable for the service of the House

Wee have Ordered the Apothecaryes Shopp and Laboratory to be removed
from under the Matron Lodgeing to the Ground Ward on the South side of the passage
Leading out of the great Quadrangle towards the Surgery and that a Roome be made
for the Use of the Doctors on the other Ground Ward on the North side of the said
Passage and Wee have caused that Passage to be Widened from
foot tofoot or thereabouts Wee alsoe upon severall News being
of Opinion that the Stairecases leading to the severall Wards in that Quadrangle were
inconveniently placed being Carryed up in the Middle of those Wards soe that halfe a
Ward only to old be in View at one time, and severall of those Wards wanting the
Ends or Angles of those Wards and have now made Sculleryes to each of these Wards And
whereas the roome Used for takeing in of the poore being found take Cold and Inconvenient
And a Compting House below Staires being much wanted for Receipt And payment of Money and
other Occasions Wee have Ordered that Roome to be made into a Compting House &
have Fitted up the Roome over against it which was lately the Apothecaries Shopp
for the takeing in Roome And the Sirder Cornish Pillowes and other Outside Worke
in the said Quadrangle and under the great Hall being much Damaged by the Wether
Wee have caused the same to be new primed over for the better prservacon thereof

Wee have Agreed with Major Edward Lane< no role > That in consideracon of his Maintaining
and repairing the comon Sewer running under the peice of Ground herein after menconed
and Defending the Hospitall against the Charge thereof he shall have a Grant of small peice
of Ground lyeing Con [..] to this House in St Thomas's parish held by Lease from
this Hospitall and being on the East side of the Ground (neare the Church Yard) Designed for a
Burying place for the patient of this Hospitall he Dividing the same from the said Burying
Place at his own charge by a Birth Wall to Range with the Wall of his Garden and to Goe in English
from the End of that Wall to the Houses on the North side of the said Burying Grond ofor the remof ye [..]
now to come in this said Lease At a pepper Course & Ann.
