That they had Agreed with the sd.
Edwd. Fernley< no role >
to Grant him A Lease of
an Old House in St. Thomas. Parish known
by the Signe of the Two pumps. For
One & Twenty Yeares from Thomas last
At Eight Pounds P Ann: Tax Free, In
Consideracon of the Charge he is to be
at, in putting & keeping the same in
good Repaire.
And also that they have Caused the
Pavement in the Burrough, before
the New Gateway there into this Hopll:
and the Two New Houses, on Oath
side of the sd Gateway, to be new
Laid, And have [..] the First
Court of the Hospll: next the Burrough
to be New Paved
Ordered that it be Recomended to the
General Court, [..] be made A Standing
Order of this House, That before A near
Lease be Delivered Of any of our Faring
on Lands in the Country, A Teriar thereof
be required from the Tennant, to be Kept
in this Hospitall.
