The Court being informed that the place of Porter of
the Foregate [..] was [..] a [..] ut by the death of Samuel
Laurance

The Petitions of the Several Persons following
for the said Place were read Vizt.

and then this Court Proceeding to the choice of
such Porter The above named Edward Hudson< no role >
was Chosen into the said Place To hold the same
during the Pleasure of this Court with the usual
Salary & perquisites thereunto belonging.

General Court mcur 24 o. July 1728.

The Orders & Proceedings of the last General Court
were read approved and Confirmed.

Subscriptions being recommended by the President
to the Court towards defraying the Great Charge and
expence of the Hospital the Gentlemen after named
subscribed the sums following vizt.

The President acquainted [..] the Court [..] that the
Grand Committee had treated with George Scott< no role > Esqr for
purchase of an Estate of the said Mr Scotts of about
£190. P Ann lying near this Hospls. Estate at Hastingleigh
& Comb in Kent and had come to an Agreement for
the same the said Mr. Scott making a good Title And that
Mr. Horsmanhadbeeing advised with had thought it
necessary to have a Decree of the Court of Chancery
obtained in order to obviate the Difficulties that appeared
to him and thereupon the said parties were proceeding
in order to procure such Decree.
