General Court Mercur 15 o. June 1726 .

The Orders and Proceedings of the Last General Court were
Read and Approved.

The Report of the Grand Committees Proceedings since
the last General Court Held the 25th. of May last was read
and is as follows Vizt:

To the Right Worshipfull Etc.

Which Report was Approved of by this Court and all
Matters and things therein contained were Ordered to be
Observed accordingly And it was Ordered that the said Report
should be Entred in the Reportory of the Proceedings of this
Court.

Subscriptions being recommended by the President to the
Court towards defraying the Great Charge and expence of the
Hospital Mr. Percival Lewis< no role > One of the Governours now present
subscribed fifty Pounds towards the same.

The President Acquainting the Court with the Death of
Mr. Joseph Hulton< no role > their late Steward The Court Proceeded
to the Choice of some fit Person to Succeed him and the
Petitions of Samuel Gale< no role > and John Archer< no role > being presented
to this Court Praying to be Appointed Steward in the Stead
of the said Mr. Hulton and being severally Read The said
Samuel Gale< no role > was Elected and Chosen and accordingly at
this Court Admitted to the Office of Steward of this Hospl.
To hold during the Pleasure of this Court with the usual
Salary and Perquisites He Observing all such Rules and
Orders as now are or shall hereafter be made by this
Court or the Grand Committee in relation to the said Office all
which he promised in Open Court to Observe and
performe accordingly.
