Maketh Oath and saith that he was Bound over
before Mr. Devile at Edgware
to appear and Prosecute
George King< no role >
the above Named prisoner in June Sessions
last for feloniously Strating one Iron Hammer of the
Value of Six pence [..] the Property of
his Brother John Chapman< no role >
- And this Deponent
further saith that he did attend the Sessions
in June last for the Purpose of Prosecuting
the said prisoner-And went before the Clerk
of the Indictment and Prefer'd the Bill here [..] un
to An next but being intirely Ignorant and
seeing other Proper on their persaid the Bills Putt
the same in their Pockett and go away he this
Deponent did the same thinking he had thereby
saved his Recognizances And that Nothing further
was to have been done by him any further than
is keeping the Parishment the Clerk of the Indictment
Office gave him this Deponent therefore humbly Prays this
Worshipful Court will Respite and Permit him to withdraw
his Recognizances in the above Prosecution as he did not
Omit Prosecuting from either fee favour Affection or
Reward but intirely thro Ignorance
