For an Assault

Robert Kemp< no role > of High Holborn in the parish of Saint Andrew
in the said County of Middlesex the abovenamed Defendant
maketh Oath and saith that in April sessions last a Bill of
Indictment was preferred (and found) by the abovenamed prosecutor
against him this Deponent in this prosecution to which said
Indictment this Deponant appeared and pleaded the May Sessions
to Traverse the said Bill untill June Sessions following and it was
his this Deponants intention to take his Trial at the same Sessions
But this Deponants saith that precious to June Sessions aforesaid
he this Deponant went to the said Defendants Dwelling house or
last place of above situate in Stephen Street Tottenham Court Plead
in order to serve him with a notice of Trial in this Cause and when
he came there he this deponant found that the saidDefendantprosecutor [..]
left his aforesaid Dwelling house and although this Deponent their
made diligent Enquiry after the saidDefendantprosecutor he could not
gain any Intelligence which the saidDefendantprosecutor was gone to [..]
nor hath this Deponant been since able to fine out the [..]
of his the said [..] prosecutors place of abode so as to him with
a notice of Trial in this prosecution And this Deponant humbly
hopes this worshipful Court will be pleased to respite this
Deponant and his Bail recognizance untill the next Session of
