To the Church-Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish
of St. Matthew, Bethnal-Green , in the County of Middlesex ,
to convey, and to the Church-Wardens and Overseers of the Poor
of the Parish of Coopersale in the County of Essex
and to each every of them to receive and obey.

WHEREAS Complaint hath been made unto us whose
Names are hereunto set, and Seals affixed, being two
of His Majesty's Justices assigned to keep the Peace in and
for the said County of Middlesex , (one whereof is of the
Quorum) by the Church-Wardens or Overseers of the Poor
of the said Parish of St. Matthew, Bethnal-Green , that Ann, < no role > the
Wife of Thomas Wood< no role > who has deserted her and their Lawful Child
Ann < no role > Aged three Years or thereabouts and left them destitute and
unprovided for have
come to inhabit in the Parish of St. Matthew, Bethnal Green
aforesaid, not having gained a legal Settlement there, nor
produced any Certificate owning to be settled elsewhere, and
are become chargeable to the said Parish of
St. Matthew, Bethnal-Green ; we the said Justices, upon
Examination of the Premises upon Oath and other Circum-
stances, do adjudge the same to be true, and we do also ad-
judge the Place of the last legal Settlement of the said Ann,
Wood and her said Daughter Ann is in the said Parish of
Coopersales in the County of Essex

THESE are therefore in His Majesty's Name and by Virtue
of the Statutes in that behalf, to require you the said Church
Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of St.
Matthew, Bethnal-Green , or some, or one of you, on Sight
hereof to remove and convey the said Ann Wood< no role > and her
said Child
from and out of your said Parish of St. Matthew , Bethnal Green ,
to the said Parish of Coopersale
and them deliver to the Church-Wardens and Overseers
of the Poor there, or to some or one of them, together with
this our Order, or a true Copy hereof, who are hereby requir-
ed to receive and provide for them according to Law.

Given under our Hands and Seals this Twenty first
Day of December in the Year of our Lord 1798.
