MIDDLESEX .


AT the General Quarter Session of the Peace of our Lord
the King, holden in and for the County of Middlesex , at the Session-
House for the said County,(..)on Monday
the Seventh Day of January in the Thirty ninths
Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Third, King of
Great Britain, Etc. Before William Mainwaring< no role > , Thomas
Robinson
< no role > , Rupert Clarke< no role > , Frederick Mathew< no role >
Esquires , and others their Fellows, Justices of our said Lord the King,
assigned to keep the Peace in County aforesaid; and also to hear and
determine divers Felonies, Trespasses and other Misdameanours com-
mitted in the same County.

Whereas the Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of the Parish of Great Yeldham
in the County of Essex Have at this present Session Exhibited their Petition and Appeal
setting forth That by an Order bearing date the twenty ninth day of August in the Year of
our Lord One Thousand seven hundred and ninety eight under the Hands and Seals of William
Kinnard
< no role > and J. Leroux Esquires two of his Majestys Justices of the Peace in and for the
County of Middlesex (one whereof being of the Quorum) stating that Elizabeth Fuller< no role >
with her illegitimate Child named William< no role > aged Twelve Months lately came to inhabit in
the Parish of Saint James at Clerkenwell not having gained any legal settlement there
nor produced any Certificate acknowledging herself to be settled elsewhere and that they were
become chargeable to the said Parish. That the said Justices upon examination of the
Premises upon Oath and other circumstances did adjudge the same to be true and did
also adjudge the last legal settlement of the said Elizabeth Fuller< no role > to be in the Parish of
Great Yeldham in the said County and did order the said Elizabeth Fuller< no role > and her said
illegitimate Child named William to be removed from and out of the Parish of St. James
at Clerkenwell to the Petitioners said Parish of Great Yeldham ; whereby the Petitioners
conceived themselves aggrieved Now the said Appeal coming on to be heard (It is
Ordered (upon Motion of Counsel for that purpose made for and on behalf of the Church
Wardens and Overseers of the poor of the said Parish of Saint James at Clerkenwell and by and
with the consent of Counsel on behalf of the Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of the
said Parish of Great Yeldham ) that the said Order of the said two Justices be and the same
is hereby Quashed and It is Further Ordered that the Churchwardens and Overseers
of the poor of the said Parish of Great Yeldham do forthwith convey and deliver back the said
Elizabeth Fuller< no role > and her said illegitimate Child (together with a Copy of this Order) unto the Church
Wardens and Overseers of the poor of the said Parish of Saint James at Clerkenwell who are
hereby required to receive and provide for the said Elizabeth Fuller< no role > and her said illegitimate
Child until they can free themselves from the charge thereof by due course of Law
