Middlesex to wit


The Examination of James Atkins< no role >
apprehended by Hy Crocker< no role > one of the Patroles belonging
to the Public Office Bow Street in the Parish of St.
Andreww above Barrs in the said County, as a Rogue
and Vagabond (Vizt. and [..] abroad and not
giving a satisfactory account of his values of support
taken before me, touching the place of his settlement

Who on his Oath saya that He was born in the
Parish of Cripplegate in the City of London thus
He is about thirty years of age and thus He never
was bound an apprentice lived as a hired yearly
Servant or rented Ten pounds a year in any Place
or did any Act or Dead whatsoever to the best
of his knowledge or belief to gain any subsequent
legal settlement to his birth

Sworn this 27th Day
of December 1798 before me
