Joseph Levy< no role > for an
Assault

John Davis< no role > of Manchester street in the Parish
of Saint mary le Bone in the County of Middlesex
Serjeant in the second Batallion of the third
Regiment of Foot Guards commanded by the
Duke of Argyle maketh Oath and saith
that the above named Defendant Joseph
King
< no role > is a private soldier belonging to the
said third Regiment of Foot Guards and
was about three weeks ago ordered by Government
from the Tower of London to portsmouth from
whence he was proceed with other privates
of the said Regiment to join the first
Batallion of the said Regiment now serving
in Ireland And this Deponent further
saith that by reason thereof the said
Defendant Joseph King< no role > is prevented from
appearing at the Present Session to try his
Traverse on this Indictment Pursuant to
the Condition of his Recognizance
