served on the said Benjamin Steinmetz< no role > to appear as a witness for the
Prosecution on the Trial of the said Deft at this present Session and this Deponent
fully expected and believed that the said Benjamin Steinmetz< no role > would have
been at home to be served with such Subpeena but the person who went to
serve such Subpeena was not able to meet with the said Benjamin Steinvmetz
And this Deponent saith that on Saturday last being the 27h: day of June
instant he this Deponent went to the Dwelling House of the said Benjamin
Steinmetz< no role > in Ratcliffe Highway aforesaid in Company with Mr. John
wright< no role > in order to serve the said Benjamin Steinmetz< no role > with such Subpeena
to appear as witness for the Prosecution on the Trial of the said Defendant
at this present Session And this Deponent then enquired of a Man Servant
of the said Benjamin Steinmetz< no role > at his said Develling House for him
the said Benjamin Steinmetz< no role > in order to serve him with such Subpeena
and the said Man Servant then informed this Deponent that the said
Benjamin Steinmetz< no role > on Friday the Nineteenth day of June instant went
into the Country above One hundred Miles from London with an intention
to return home in about Nine or Ten Days which Information this
Deponent verily believed to be true And this Deponent saith that Yesterday
being Sunday the twenty Eighth day of June instant in the Evening he
this Deponent went again to the said House of the said Benjamin
Steinmetz< no role > to enquire for him and this Deponent was than informed
by a ManServant at the said House that the said Benjamin
Steinmetz< no role > was not then come home from the Country and which
Information this Deponent verily believes to be true And this Deponent
saith that he verily believes that the said Benjamin Steinmetz< no role > is not
yet come home And this Deponent saith that he will use his utmost
endeavours
