for a Misdemeanor

Joseph Pougher< no role > the defendant abovenamed maketh
Oath and Saith that in June Session last a Bill
of Indictment was preferred and found against him
for Keeping a certain disorderly House at No. 3 in
Adam and Eve Court in the Parish of Saint Maryle
bone in the County of Middlesex and at the Same
Session put in Bail to try his Traverse at this present
Session bret this deponent being a very ignorant Man
and not acquainted with the necessary forms of the
Session hath neglected to enter his Venire and to
put himself upon his Trial And this deponent
further upon his Oath saith that he has given up the
Possesion of his said House which was the Cause of the
present litigation and the nuisance if any entirely
removed and was in hopes prior to this Session to have caused
the matter in dispute to have been entirely done away between
this deponent and the Parish - And this deponent further
upon his Oath Saith that he hath not neglected to take
his Tryal at this present Session for the sake of
Impeding Public Justice or for Unnecessary delay
but his Ignorance and the Facts abovestated
