Middlesex Be it Remembered that at the
General Quarter session of the peace of our Lord the King holden in and
for the County of Middlesex at the Session House for the said County on
Monday the Fifth day of July in the Thirtieth Year of the Reign of our Sovereign
Lord George the Third King of Great Britain Etc Before William Mainwaring< no role >

Fellows Justices of our said Lord the King assigned to keep the peace in the
County aforesaid and also to hear and determine divers Felonies Trespasses
and other Misdemeanours committed in the same County By the Oath of

and lawful Men of the County aforesaid now here Sworn and Charged to inquire
for our said Lord the King for the Body of the said County It is presented in
manner and form following that is to say Middlesex The Jurors for our
Lord the King upon their Oath present that Arthur Covinton< no role > late of the
Parish of Enfield in the County of Middlesex Schoolmaster on the Ninth day of
June in the Thirtieth Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Third
King of Great Britain and so forth with Force and Arms at the Parish aforesaid
in the County aforesaid in and upon on Ann < no role > Wife of Samuel English< no role > in the
peace of God and of our said Lord the King then and there being unlawfully
did make a violent Assault and her the said Ann then and there
unlawfully violently and maliciously did beat bruise wound and ill treat
so that her Life was greatly despaired of and other wrongs to the said Ann
then and there unlawfully violently and maliciously did To the great
damage of the said Ann and against the Peace of our said Lord the King
his Crown and Dignity Wherefore the Sheriff of the said County of
Middlesex is Commanded that he do not omit by reason of any Liberty
in his Bailiwick but he cause the said Arthur Covinton< no role > to come before
