The Voluntary Confession of
John James< no role > of No. 43 Bedford Street Covent
Garden taken at his Request by Thos.
Fellows
< no role > Esq . one of his Majesty's Justices of
the peace in and for the said County who saith
that he hath several times bought Base
Money of Edwd. Harris< no role > of No. 3 Leighs Row
(Viz) one Guinea of Eight & twenty Shillings
and also that he hath several times bought
Base money of Mrs. Harris of Standgate
Street Lambeth (Viz) one Guinea for Eight &
twenty Shillings And that he hath lately
so purchased Base money of the said Edwd.

And further that he the said John James< no role >
hath been informed bythe said Edwd. Harris< no role >
that
Belmaine of 32 Blackfriars
Road that he was [..] the maker
of the said Money And the said
John James< no role > further saith that hehath
sold Eight & twenty Shillings of the said
Base Money to Thos. Maund< no role > the Elder
of Llandoveny in Carmarthenshire
and that he the said John James< no role > paid
about Four Shillings of the said Base Money
on the 17th. Instant to John Norton< no role > of Uxbridge
Snidds Innholder for Lodging Eating
and Drinking And that the said
Thos. Mand also on the said 17th. Instant
paid the said John Norton< no role > for Eating and
Drinking three Shillings of the said Base
Money And the said John James< no role > further
Saith that Thos. Maund< no role > the younger Son of Maund the Elder hath
been a Companion to the said John James< no role >
and Thos. Maund the Elder and Partooks of
The Victuals & Drink at the said John Norton< no role >
so paid for with the said Base Money had
that the said Thos. Maund the younger had
knowledge of the said Base Money being
the 19. June 1790
