To the Worshipful Sir John Hawkins< no role > Knight Chairman -
and the rest of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the County of
Middlesex in their General Quarter Session of the Peace assembled

The humble Petition and Appeal of the Churchwardens and
Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of Alton in the County of Hants

Sheweth


That by Virtue of a Pass Warrant or Order under
the Hands and Seals of David Wilmot< no role > and James Penleage< no role > Esquires
two of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace in and for the County of Middlesex
(one whereof of the Quorum) bearing date the tenth day of June last
Elizabeth Pickernell< no role > Wife of William Pickernell< no role > and her three Children
Namely William< no role > then aged Seven Years and upwards, Jane< no role > then aged five Years and
upwards and Margaret< no role > then aged about four Months were removed and conveyed
from and out of the Parish of Saint Leonard Shoredicth in the County of Middlesex
to the said Parish of Alton in the County of Hants as the place of their last
legal Settlement whereby Your Petitioners conceive themselves
aggrieved

Your Petitioners therefore most humbly
Appeal to this Court against the adjudication
of the said two Justices and their said Order and pray
that your Worships will please to appoint some
day for the hearing & determining the said
Appeal and to order that the Churchwardens and
Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of saint Leonard
Shoreditch and all Persons concerned do then
attend this Court

and Your Petitioner will ever
