WHEREAS Complaint has been made unto us, two of
His MAJESTY'S Justices of the Peace in and for the
County of MIDDLESEX (one whereof being of the
Quorum) by the Church-Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of
the Parish of St. LUKE , in the said County, That a Male
Bastard Child named Thomas< no role > aged about four Months
born on the Body of Sarah Cooper< no role > Singlewoman hath

lately come into the said Parish, endeavouring to Settle there,
contrary to Law. And it appeareth unto us the said Justices,
and we do adjudge that the said Child is likely to become charge-
able to the said Parish; and upon Examination of the said
Sarah Cooper< no role > taken upon Oath,
it further appeareth unto us, and we do likewise adjudge, that
the Parish of Saint James Clerkenwell in the
County of Middlesex
is the Place of the last legal Settlement of the said Male
Bastard Child

These are therefore in His MAJESTY's Name to Charge and
Command the Church-Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the
said Parish of St. LUKE , forthwith to remove and convey the said
Male Bastard Child
from the said Parish of St. LUKE , to the said Parish of
Saint James Clerkenwell and deliver him to the
Church-Wardens and Overseers of the Poor there, or to some
or one of them, who are hereby required to provide for him
according to Law. GIVEN under our Hands and Seals
the twentieth Day of April 17 74:

To the Church-Wardens and Overseers
of the Poor of the respective Parishes
of St. LUKE, in the County of MID-
DLESEX, and Saint James
Clerkenwell In the said County

and all other Officers whom it may
concern.
