published to him as true in order to purchase as
Coat a promissory Note now produced, purposting to be the Promissory
Note of George Bowes< no role >
payable to Thomas Luther< no role >
or Order for
Ten pounds and Indersed Thos.. Luther< no role >
, and this Informants
Thomas Barber< no role >
for himself saith that on or about last Friday
S [..] ght a Person nor present who calls himself Peter Mr. Cay
delivered the said promissory Note to him at the Crown and
Punch Bowl in Bow Sheet Westmr. as a good one and desired
him to get the same [..] changed and the said William Salthouse< no role >
farther saith that he enquired after the said Note at Sir Chas. hugill
& Co's.. [..] as whose direction appears upon it and found it to be
a false Note therefore believe, that the said Note was published
as true Knowing it to be falsly made with Intent to Defraud
