The Information of Richd. Bamber< no role >
taken before me this 13th. day of
Octr. 1761

Who being on Oath says that he was an Acquaintance
of Elisha Hannah< no role > the Deceased, that he was in Company
with him last Saturday Night about 10 o Clock at the
black Lyon in Russell Street St. Martin in the Fields with
several other says that they had paid their reecoring &
were going home when Mr. Geo: Jolliff< no role > came into
the said House and told them that Mr. Eastgate & he
had been Affronted at Mr. Robert's the Ben: Johnson's
head and desired them to come there, to assist them
as he understood, says that he & the Deceased then
Walked together to Mr. Robert's, & went into the Kitchen
but not seeing Mr. Jolliff there went into the back Room
where they saw the said Jolliff & Mr. Eastgate sitting
says he went up to them and asked them how they
did says that very shortly after this as he was Talking
to some Person in the Room he saw said Mr.
Jolliff Scuffling with some Person when a general
Affray began & several Persons were Fighting with
sticks says in the Passage of the said House and
in the midst of the said Affray he got a stick which
he made are of in his own defence says that at this
Time Mr. Dane stood upon the Stairs with a stick in
one hand and a drawn Sword in the Other
