WHEREAS Complaint has been made unto us, two of
his Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the County of
Middlesex (one whereof being of the Quorum) by the
Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish
of St. Giles in the Fields in the said County,
That Elizabeth Martel wife of John
Martel
< no role > a Foreigner gone franker
and not to be found; is

lately come into the said Parish endeavouring to Settle
there, contrary to Law. And it appeareth unto us the
said Justices, and we do adjudge that she is likely
to become chargeable to the said Parish; and upon Exami-
nation of the said Elizabeth Martel
taken upon Oath, it further appeareth unto us,
and we do likewise adjudge, that the Parish of
Richmond in the County of Surry
is the Place of the last legal
Settlement of the said Elizabeth Martel< no role >

These are therefore in his Majesty's Name [..] Charge and
Command the Church-wardens and Overseers of the Poor of
the said Parish of St. Giles in the Fileds
forthwith to remove and convey the said Elizabeth
Marten

from the said Parish of St. Giles in the Fileds
to the said Parish of Richmond
and deliver her to the Church-wardens and Overseers
of the Poor there, or to some or one of them, who are here-
by required to provide for her according to Law. Given
under our Hands and Seals the 24th. Day of
October 17 60
