At the General Quarter Session of the Peace of our Sovereign Lord the King holden for the
County of Middx at Hicks Hall in St. John Street in the County aforesaid by adjournment on
Thursday the sixteenth day of January in the twenty eighth year of the reign of our Sovereign
Lord George the second King of Great Britain Etc before Thomas Lane< no role > George Errington< no role >
Charles Gould< no role > John Dekewer< no role > Esquires and others their Fellows Justices of our said Lord the
King assigned to keep the Peace in the County aforesaid and also to hear and determine divers
Felonies Trespasses and other Misdeeds committed in the same County.

Upon hearing of the Appeal of the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish
of Saint Martin in the Fields in the County of Middx against a Pass Warrant or Order under the
Hands and Seals of William Caslon< no role > and Ebenezer Mussell< no role > Esquires two of his Majesty's Justices
of the Peace for the County of Middx (one whereof being of the Quorum) bearing dated the
fourteenth day of December last past whereby George Gale< no role > Mary< no role > his Wife and their two
Children lawfull Issue of the said George Gale< no role > by Mary his Wife namely John< no role > aged eleven
years and Elizabeth< no role > aged nine years and upwards were removed from the Parish of Saint
Leonard Shoreditch in the said County of Middx to the said Parish of Saint Martin in the
Fields as the Place of their last legal Settlement And upon hearing of what was alledged
by Mr. Lawson of Council for the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said
Parish of Saint Leonard Shoreditch and also by Mr. Stow of Council for the Churchwardens
and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of Saint Martin in the Fields This Court doth
allow of the said Appeal and doth vacate and discharge the aforesaid Pass Warrant or Order of the said two
Justices of the Peace and the same is hereby vacated and discharged accordingly And this
Court doth Order that the Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of Saint Martin in the
Fields do forthwith convey and deliver the said George Gale< no role > Mary his Wife John and Elizabeth
to the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish of Saint Leonard
Shoreditch or one of them with a Copy of this Order who are hereby required to receive the
said George Gale< no role > Mary his Wife John and Elizabeth into their Care and to provide for
them as for other Poor at the Charge of the Inhabitants of the said Parish of Saint Leonard
Shoreditch untill they can free themselves from the Charge thereof by due Course of Law
