The information of & Sarah Hall< no role > of St Martin in the Feilds Spinster
touching the Death of William Howard< no role > taken upon Oath this 16. day of January 1748 .

Who saith that of Friday night last [..] about Eleven o Clock a Gentleman
Dressed a Blue Coat come down from Jnr. Kerrs< no role > Lodgings in this Informt House and,
Desired Change for a Guinea which She told him She could not Thereupon he went out
into the Passge and Sent the Watchman The same Gentleman whoreturned Soon afterwards and said to
Mr. Campbell he was besett by Pick Pocket [..] sandwho said tothehim that he had got a
Bit of Lace on and that they Supposed him to be a Seafaring Man the thereupon
went up Stairs & returned in a few Minutes wth. a Person whom She has been Since
Informed is one Capt: Campbell and went of her Door In about 5 Minutes
more they both Returned together, Said they had been concerned in a great Quarrell,
& went [..] Stairs where they Staid about Fifteen Minutes Mrs. Carr then came
to this Informants Room and Desired two Gentleman might Pass thro her Room
for that they were be Set by Pick Pockets, and they accordingly went thro, and She
heard Mr. Kerr desire a Kiss & tell him She Expected to See him in the Morning
and that she this Informant heard no Noise when capt Campbell went out, but beleives
when he want [..] his Sword. was Drawn, some time afterwards the Constables & Watch
Returned to her House & Secured this informant
