The Information of Elizabeth Wilson< no role > of St. Martins in the Feilds
touching the Death of William Howard< no role > taken upon Oath this 16th: of January 1748 .

Who saith that one Mr. Blair came to Mr. Halls Room on Friday night last abt
& Desired Change for a Guinea but Hall not being Able to Change it Blair went out fa Cha [..]
& Returned soon after and Cryed out Murder & said They were beset by Pick Pockets, in other
Circumstances she Agrees wth: the Informant Hall and Says that she was Push'd down
Hairs in their going thro' the Room & further Salt Rot

[..] abt. 12 came to Kerrs Lodgings, Mrs. Kerr to B Informt. Sten [..] Engaged wth. 2 Gent
one of wth: she said She beleived he knew & going up [..] Saw Capt. Campbell & Blair their
Drank a Bottle together in abt. to Minutes Mr. Blair lost the room to Change a Guinea as
the Capt. was Informed in a few minutes afterwares they heard a Cry of Watch and a Knock
at the Street Door of Mrs. Kerr Lodgts. upon wth. Capt Campbell won from his Seat & said
he beleivedCaptBlair was Attackt & Mr. Campbell Immediately went down Stairs
Upon the open: of the Street Door in ye Pass [..] this Informt. heard a Clashs: of Sticks upon the Continuan [..]
of this Norse Informt: went down abt: Five Six Hairs, & Saw Mr. Campbell Stand with his
Back towards the Back door in ye Passage when the Noise ceased, This Informt. then ask't him
wl: was the matter when Campbell said it was all over and that he wor. came up to
them presently Informt. then Returned and went into his Room & Capt Campbell follow'd
him, and Informed him that Blair Staid for the Change of the Guinea & that he was
Attack'd he beleived by & Street Robbers & that he had [..] Struck one of them a Blow
of the Side of the Read & Cut his Knuckle [..] Mr. Campbell also said that they
were Ran away and he beleived were gone for fresh Assistance, in 5 Minutes after
Campbells Return heard a 2d: Cry of Watch [..] Mur [..] a Violent knock at ye: upon which
Mr Campbell went down Immediately when he heard a fresh Noise of fighting wth Sticks
& likewise a Cry of Murder, & some Women below Stairs said the Gentleman will be
