the Churchwarden and Overseer of
the Poor of theParish of St Luke Chelsea
in the said County

Whereas Complaint hath been made unto Us,Two
of His Majesty's Justices of the Peace for theCity
and Libertyaforesaid (One whereof
being of the Quorum) by the Churchwardens and Over
seers of the Poor of the said Parish of St. James , That
Clare Rankin< no role > Wife of John Rankin< no role > gone from
her, hath
lately intruded, and come into the said Parish of St. James ,
andis likely tobecome Chargeable to the same. We
the said Justices, upon Examination of the Premises upon
Oath, and other Circumstances, do adjudge the same to be
true, and do also adjudge the Place of the last legal Settle
ment of the saidClare Rankin to be in the said Parish
of St. Luke Chelsea in the said County

These are therefore in His Majesty's Name, to require
you, on Sight hereof, to remove and convey the said
Clare Rankin< no role >
from and out of your said Parish of St. James , to the said
ParishofSt Luke Chelsea
andherdeliver unto the Church-Wardens and Over
seers of the Poor there, or to some, or One of them, together
with this our Order, or a true Copy hereof, who are here
by required to receive and provide forheraccording to
Law. Given under Our Hands and Seals this16thDay
ofNovember 1747
