At the General Quarter Session of the peace of our Sovereign Lord the King holden
for the County of Middx at Hicks hall in saint John street in the County aforesaid
by adjornment on Monday the twelfth day of October in the twenty first year of
the reign of our sovereign Lord George the Second King of Great Britain Etc
before Thomas Lane< no role > Henry Broadhead< no role > William Withers< no role > Peter Elers< no role > Esquires and
other their Fellows Justices of our said Lord the King assigned to keep the peace in
the County aforesaid and also to hear & determine divers felonys trespasses & other
misdedMisdeeds comitted in the same County.

Upon hearing of the appeal of the Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor
of the parish of Christ Church in the County of Middx against an Order under the
hands & Seals of Philip Dyot< no role > & Joseph Hucks< no role > Esquires two of his Majesty's Justices of the
peace for the said County (one being of the Quorum) bearing date the seventeenth day of
September last whereby Mary Brown< no role > wife of John Brown< no role > (who is therein mentioned
to have been gone away and left his said wife for several years) was removed from
the parish of St. Giles in the fields in the County aforesaid to the said parish of Christ Church
called in the said Order the parish of Christ Church Spittle Fields in the said County as
the place of the last legal settlement of the said John Brown< no role > & his said wife, And upon
hearing of Councel for the Churchwardens & Overseers of the poor of the said parish of Christ
Church This Court by consent of Mr. Spiltimber of Councel for the Churchwardens & Overseers
of the poor of the said parish of St. Giles in the fields doth allow of the said appeal And
doth vacate & discharge the aforesaid Order of the said two Justices of the peace, and the same
is hereby vacated & discharged accordingly, And this Court doth Order that the Overseers of
the poor of the said parish of Christ Church do forthwith convey & deliver the said
Mary Brown< no role > to the Churchwadrens & Overseers ofthethe poor of the said parish of st.
Giles in the fields or one of them with a copy of this Order who are hereby required to
receive the said Mary Brown< no role > into their care, and to provide for her as for other poor at the
charge of the Inhabitants of the said Parish of St. Giles in the fields untill they can
free themselves from the charge thereof by due course of Law,
