Whereas Complaint hath been made unto this Courtly
Samuel Seth Martin< no role > alledging that about Nine Months
Since he bound himself Apprentice to one John Jute< no role > working
Silver Smith in the Liberty of Westmr in this County to
whom the Said Samuel Seth Martin gave a large Sum
of money after which the Said Jute asked the Said Martin
for his part of his Indenture of Apprenticehood and
Said he would go & pay the Kings duty, but whether he
hath So done or not the Said Martin doth not know.
Since which the Said Jute the Master hath absconded &
carried away the Said Martins part of his Indenture and,
made no Provision for the Said Martin And that
notwithstanding all the Inquiry the Said Martin can
make he cannot hear where his Said Master is or
what is become of [..] in So that the Said Martin is
induced to beleive his Said Master hath lost this
Kingdom and that the said Martin is both Fatherless
& Motherless And that the Said Jute hath lost the Said
Martin his aperentice repwards of four Months to Shift for himself.
without any Assistance from him And the Said Martin
prayed that this Court would discharge him from his
Apprenticehood to the Said Jute that he may apply
himself to Some honest livelyhood whereby to get
his bread And the matter of the Said Complaint being
appointed to be determined by this Court on this Second
day of March instant Now upon hearing of the Said
Samuel Seth Martin and his Councell And upon
examination into the truth of the Premisses forasmuch as it
appeareth to this Court that the allegations aforesaid
are true And for that it further appeareth to this
Court by the Oath of Benjamin Garland< no role > that he left
notice in writing at the last place of abode of the Said
John Jute with a Woman Servant who told the Said
Garland that the said Jute was gone off & broke &
no body knew where to find him or words to that or
the like Effect, And that he inquired further into the
Neighbourhood for the Said Jute & had the Same
Answer from the Neighbours or to the like Effect By
which Notice the Said John Jute was directed to take
Notice that this Court would be moved on this Second
day of March instant that the Said Samuel Seth
Martin might be discharged from his Apprenticeship
and all Service on Account of his Indentures of
