Whereas by as Order made at the Generall Quarter Sessions of the Peace held at
Hicks's Hall
by Adjournment on Thursday the thirteenth day of Aprill Last
upon hearing
the matter of the Petition of Henry Anderson< no role >
and Thos. Herbert< no role >
Surveyors of the Highways
of the Parish of Chelsea
in the sd. County Complaineing that the Justices of the peace by the
false Information and Representation of John Gile< no role >
at the
Northumberland Armes
in
Chelsea
on the seaventh of January last
made to them at their petty Sessions held there
had disallowed them in their Accounts the sume of twenty seaven pounds eleaven shillings & an
halfe penny to their prejudice Itt was Ordered by the Court that the Petrs. and alsoe the present
Surveyors and other persons concerned should attend us the before mentioned Justices of the
Peace and alsoe Robert Man< no role >

County or any threeof us touching the mres in queon at such tyme and place as wee
should in that behalfe appoint who were thew by desired to Examine into the truth
of the mres & to hear the Allegations on both sides and after Examination and Consideration
had of the matters aforesaid to Report our Opinions in writeing touching the mres
aforesaid unto the Court of the next Generall Quarter Sessions of the peace to be holden
for this County In Obedience to which said Order We the above named Justices
of the peace haveing this day called before us the sd. Henry Anderson< no role >
and Thos. Herbert< no role >
and alsoe Mr Gile the Church warden
and all other persons concerned
and haveing Examined them & divers other the Inhabitant
who had served the sd. Office of Surveyors of the Highways and other Inhabitants of
the said Parish upon Oath and haveing considered of the matters referred are of
Opinion That the sd. Anderson and Herbert ought not to be disallowed the sume of
Twenty seaven pounds Eleaven shillings and an halfe penny in the sd. Order mentioned but that
they ought to be disallowed the sume of Thirteen pounds and five shillings in their
said Account as is hereunder mentioned All which we humbly Certifye & submitt to the
Judgemt of the sd. Court
