To the Right Worshipfull his Majesties Justices of the peace for the County
of Middlx in their Generall Quarter Sessions of the Peace Assembled

The humble petition and Appeal of Richard
Exall
< no role > of the parish of Saint James Clerkenwell
in the said County of Middlx

Sheweth


That your Petr. on Easter Monday last by a Warrant under the
hands and Seals of John Fuller< no role > and William Cotesworth< no role > Esquires two of
his Majesties Justices of the peace for the said County of Middlx (Quor nunc)
was nominated and confirmed one of the Overseers of the Poor of the said Parish
of St James Clerkenwell for the present Year 1726.

Your Petr. is very well informed there are divers Inhabitants in
the said parish who of right ought to serve as an Overseer of the Poor
in the said Parish before your Petr. they having some years ago
served the usually Offices which are frequently served before their
being nominated Overseers and your Petr. being infirm in his Limbs
and only his own hand labour to maintain his family, and having
but lately served the Office of Scavenger in the said Parish thinks
himself much agrieved and humbly appeals against the said
Warrant of the said Justices.

Therefore your Petr. most humbly Prays this
Court will be Pleased to make such Order
herein for the releif of your Petr. asto this
Court shall seem meet

And your Petr. as in Duty bound
shall ever pray Etc
