To the Right Worshipfull the Justices in his Majtys:
Comcor of the Peace Now Sitting at Hick's Hall in
the County of Middlx

Whereas by an Order of Adjudicacon made by Samuel Jones< no role > and
Philip Willshire< no role > Esqrs . two of his Majtyes: Justices of the Peace for the
Said County under their hands and Seals bearing date the Tenth
day of January last past (Quorum Ind) Setingforth That it appeared
into them That Mary Harris< no role > Singlewoman was on the Twenty third
day of December then last delivered of a Male Bastard Child in the
Hamlet of Mile End Old Town in the Parish of St. Dunstan Stepney
not then Baptized (the said Hamlet having a Churchwarden and
Overseers of the Poor and Maintaining their own Poor distinctly)
which was become chargeable to the said Parish And that it Appeared
unto them as well by the Exaiacon of the said Mary Harris< no role > taken
on her Oath before them that day As also by diverse other Good
Proofe & Circumstances that John Smith< no role > Gentl . was the onely and
true father of the said Maler Bastard Child Wherefore the Sd. Justices
did Adjudge him the said John Smith< no role > to be the onely Putative father
of the said Male Bastard Child And did thereby Order him the said
John Smith< no role > to Pay or cause to be Paid unto the Churchwarden and
Overseers of the Poor of the Sd: Hamlet or to Some or one of them
the Sume of Eleven pounds & thirteen shilly of Lawfull money of
Great Britain on Demand thereof the said Sume being already
then Disburst and Paid by the Sd: Churchwardens and Overseers of
the Poor for and towards the Maintainance and keeping of the said
Maler Bastard Child and other necessary Charges thereby Accrened
And did thereby also Order him the said John Smith< no role > to pay or cause
to be paid Weekly and every Week from the day of the date thereof
unto the said Churchwarden & Overseers of the Poor of the Sd. Hamlet
and their Successors for the time being or to Some or one of them for
and towards the Maintainance and keeping of the said Male bastard
Child the Sume of Three Shillings per Week of like lawfull money
And the Payment thereof to Continue so long as the Sd: Male bastard
Child shall be a Charge to the said Parish (Except the said John Smith< no role >
shall otherwise Discharge the said Hamlet of such Charge and
Burthen as shall in any manner of wise accrew there unto by
reason or means [..] of the said Male bastard Child upon
Notice of Such their Order And Also that he the said John Smith< no role >
shall Pay or cause to be paid unto the Sd. Churchwarden and
Overseers of the Poor of the said Hamlet for the time being or to
some or one of them the Sume of Five pounds when the said Male-
bastard Child shall Attain his full Age of Ten years for and toward
the placeing forth the said Male bastard Child an Apprentice
to Some Lawfull Trade or calling or otherwise to Appear at
the then next General Quarter Sessions of the Peace to be holden
