To the Rt: Worshipfull his Majesties Justices of the Peace for
the County of Middlx . in the Genl. Quarter Sessions of the Peace
Assembled.

The humble Petition of John Honer< no role > and
William Collins< no role > Surveyors of the highways
of the Parish of St James Clerkenwell
in the said County

Sheweth


That your Petr. have been at great expence and Charge
in [..] Repairing a Comon bridge at Hockly hole in the said Parish
and other large repaire of the highways and another [..]
bridge in the said Parish being now ready to fall hath
and will occasion large Sume of money to be expended
And the Statute Work done and to be done by the Inhabitants
of the said Parish being not Sufficient to make good the
great expence as aforesaid being Computed the whole
will amount to the sume of Sd and upwards

Your Petrs. therefore humbly
Prays this Court will be pleased
to Order a Rate to be made thro [..]
said Parish of St James Chivell
according to the Statute in that case
made and Provided for raising and
collecting a Sume Sufficient to
answer the purpusses aforesaid

And your Petr. shall ever
pray etc.
