Upon reading the humble peticon & appeale
of Thomas Head< no role > exhibited unto this Court
setting forth that the Petr. by vertue of an Order
under the hands & seales of John Fuller< no role > and
William Cotesworth< no role > Esqrs . two of his Maties. Justices
of the peace for this County (Quorum unus)
beareing date the sixth day of April last
was adjudged to be the putative Father of a Male
bastard child begotten on the body of Elizabeth
Knight
< no role > Singlewoman and borne in the parish of
Laylam in this County on the twenty third
day of November one thousand seven hundred
and twenty two and is become chargeable to
the said parish of Laylam as is alledged by the
Churchwardens & overseers of the poor thereof
By which said Order & Judgment the Petr
conceiveth himselfe to be aggreived, And
humbly appeales therefrom And therefore prays
that this Court will order the Churchwardens
Overseers of the poor of the sd. parish of Laylam
to attend the Court the first day of the next
Sessions and abide the Judgmt. of the Court touching
the merits of the said appeale whereupon It is
Ordered by this Court that the benefit of the said
appeale be saved unto the Petr. and that the hearing &
