WHEREAS Complaint hath been made by you the
Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said
Parish ofKensingtonunto us whose
Hands and Seals are hereunto set, two of His Majesty's Justices of
the Peace (Quorum unus), for theCountyaforesaid, That
Christian Ogdon< no role > (with her Child Anne< no role > )
wife of Cornelius Odgon< no role >
lately intrudedherselfinto your said Parish of
Kensington there to Inhabit asaParishioner contrary to
the Laws relating to the Settlement of the Poor, andshethere likely
to become Chargeable, if not timely prevented: And Whereas,
upon due Examination and Enquiry made into the Premises,
(upon Oath)
it appears unto Us and We acordingly Adjudge, That the said
Christian Odgon< no role > and her Child are
likely to become Chargeable unto the said Parish ofKensington
and that the last Legal Place of Settlement of the said
Christian Odgon< no role > & Childwas in the said Parish of St. Dunstans
in the West in she City of London

These are therefore, in His Majesty's Name, to Order and Require
you the said Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the
Parish ofKensington aforesaid, that you, or some
of you, do forthwith Remove and Convey the saidChristian Ogdon< no role >
& her Childfrom your said Parish ofKensington
to the said Parish ofSt: Dunstans andthemdeliver
to the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor there, or some or
one of them, together with this our Warrant or Order, or a true
Copy hereof, whereby they are likewise Required, in His Majesty's
Name, and by Virtue of the Statutes in such Case made, forthwith
to receive the saidChristian Odgon< no role > & Child
into their saidParishand provide forthem
as their own Parishioner Given under our Hands and Seals,
the21.Day ofJulyAnno ReginDin Georgy
nuncRegis Magnae Britanniae, Etc.
