In Pursuance of an Order of the last Generall Quartere
Sessions of the peace held for the County of Middlesex at Hicks
Hall in St: John Street by adjournment the ninth day of July
last past which is hereunto Annexed, Wee whose names are
hereunto Subscribed Three of his Majties: Justices of the Peace
for the said County of Middlesex Appointed by the sd: Order [..]
a Comittee (Doe hereby Certifie That Wee have this Day
with the assistance of two Able Workmen taken a View
of the Campshotts adjoyneing to Chertsea Bridge Referr'd
[..] in the said Order, And Find the Campshott Below
[..] said Bridge entirely broken downe And the Campshott
above the said Bridge (beyond that part of it lately Repaired soe very much out of Repair
that if not Speedily Repaired, the same will be alsoe
broken downe, and hereby Damage and greatly Endanger.,
the said Bridge, And Doe further Certifie that Wee have
with the assistance of the said Workmen made an Estimate of the Charge of Repairing the same,
[..] which will Cost one Hundred ninety Six Pounds to Repa [..]
the said upper Campshott, and the Sume of Sixty of Pounds
to Repair the said lower Campshott, the planks files &
Scantlins to be according to the Proposall hereunto
annexed, And Wee Dox further Certifie That Wee have
alsoe View'd Brentford-Bridge and Find some Repairs
are wanting to be done thereunto, which by a Estimacon
will Cost Fifteen Pounds, the same to be done according
[..] Proposall alsoe hereunto Annexed, And Wee
[..] further Certifie That Wee have Examined into what
[..] of money have been Disbursed for the Repair
of Brentford-Bridge Care still due and Owing & there
Appears to be Remaining due to John Gumley< no role > Esqr : late
Treasurer for the Repair of Bridges , the Sume of
Seventeen Pounds Fourteen shillings & one penny on the
Ballance of his Accounts, the Sume of Fourteen Pounds one
Shilling
