Money, then the said Appellants, in the aforesaid Rate
towards releife of the poor of the sd. parish this Court It of opinion
that the said Rate is unequall illegall & unjust, And
doth thereupon quash & vacate the said Rate, and the
same is hereby quashed & vacated accordingly, And
In regard the poor of the sd. parish are very Numerous
& Stand in need of Speedy releife It is Ordered by-
this Court that the Churchwarden & Overseers of
the poor of the said parish (calling to their assistance such
ancient Inhitants of the Said parish as are usually
present at the makeing of the Poors Rates there) they or-
the greater Number of them doe forthwith raise weekly
or otherwise by taxacon of every Inhitant Parson his
& Occupyers of Houses, lands, tenemts [..] lyths impropriat
& propriacons of lyths or saleable underwoods within the
said parish by an equall Rate or Rates Such competent sume & Sumes of mony as Shall be-
necessary for releife of the poor of the SdRateParish,
And that after the Sd Rate shall be made they doe
therewith attend two or more of his Maties. Justices of the
peace for this County inhiteing in or near the sd parish
or Division Where the Sd. Parish doth lye (Quor Unus)
for their approbacon & allowance thereof, And that-
after the same shall be soe [..] approved & allowed off
they doe forthwith levy & collect or cause to be levyed
& collected the moneys to be thereby assessed, allowing to
Such persons as have paid moneys upon the Rate now quashed
the like sume or sumes of money to be assessed on them by the
