Upon heareing of the appeale of the Churchwardens
and Overseers of the poor of the parish of St. Mary
woodnoth within the City of London against an
Order Under the hands & seales of Richard Woodward< no role >
& John Blow< no role > Esqrs . two of his Maties. Justices of the peace
for the County of Middx (Quorum Unus) beareing date
the two & twentyeth day of February last whereby
Mary Sheffeild< no role > widdow of Robert Sheffeild< no role > late of London
Barber deced who was likely to become chargeable
to the parish of Chelsea in the said County of Middx
was removed from the said parish of Chelsea to the
said parish of St. Mary Woolnoth as the place of her
legall settlemt. (the hearing & determining of which
appeale was by Order made at the last Generall
Quarter Sessions of the peace holden for the sd. County
of Middxadjournedby adjornmt. on the twenty fifth
day of April last past adjourned untill this present
Generall Quarter Sessions of the peace holden for
the same County) And upon heareing of what was
insisted on by Counsell for the Inhabitants of the
said parish of Chelsea & alsoe by Councell for
the Inhabitants of the said parish of St. Mary Woolnoth
For that it doth not appeare to this Court that the said
Mary Sheffeild< no role > had at the time of makeing the sd. Order of
removeall or now hath any legall Settlemt. in the sd. parish
of St. Mary Woolnoth This Court doth allow of the sd. appeale
and doth vacate & discharge the aforesaid Order of the said two
Justices of the peace.
