Upon moton made unto this Court by Mr. Corbett of Councell for
the prosecutor of one Arnold Powell< no role > also otherwise called
william may< no role > , It was alledged that the said Arnold
powell< no role > als William May< no role > was sometime since comitted
by one of his Maties. Justices of the peace for this County to the
Custody of Daniel Cornwall< no role > Keeper of New Prison at
Clerkenwell in this County upon suspicon that the said
Arnold powell als william may had comitted a felony
or some haynous offence, there to be kept & detained untill
from thence delivered by due course of law, And that the
said Keeper had suffered the said Arnold powell als
William May to make his of escape out of the said prison, And
It was further alledged that the said Daniel Cornwall
had taken & reced [..] divers sumes of money of Prisoners
in his custody upon presence that the same were due to
him as Keeperfor fees as Keeper of the said prison from
such Prisoners, whereas noe such fees were due to him
from the said prisoners, And the sd Mr. Corbett praying
redress in the promisses, It is Ordered by this Court that
the matter of the aforesaid complaint against him the said
Daniel Cornwall< no role > doe come on to be heard before his
Maties: Justices of the peace for this County to be assembled at [..]
