of the poor, which orders are entred in their books but
instead thereof have procured their attempts to be
passed & allowed by Felix Feast< no role > & John pery< no role > Esqrs
two of his Maties Justices of the peace for the sd County
who (as the Petr. have been credibly informed & have
reason to beleive) did not look nor inspect into the
same before they signed the allowance thereof, and
have not given the petrs. any satisfaccon how the
said attempt stands, and the petrs beleive that
there are considerable sumes of money either
misapplyed or in the hands of John Crockford< no role >
late Upper Churchwarden as aforesaid, and
large sumes remaining Uncollected on the
overseers books of the said parish and money in
some of their hands, and the poor of the sd parish
being in great want & require imediate releife
the Petrs. conceived themselves very much aggreived
in the premisses & many other unwarrantable
practices of the sd John Crockford< no role > late Upper
Churchwarden of the said parish, And the Petrs
praying that the sd. late Churchwardens & Overseers
of the poor might [..] be ordered to make & yeild up
their attempts before the said John Fuller< no role > and
Benjamin Hilton< no role > for the reasons abovesaid, and
that they might be otherwise releived as to this
Court should seen meet, It was ordered by this
Court that the said John Crockford< no role > peter pridmore< no role >
Henry Chapman< no role > John Steward< no role > Thomas Foreman< no role >
& Thomas Bark< no role > Seale should attend this Court on
this day to showcause why they should not make
& yeild up their attempts above menconed Unto
the sd John Fuller< no role > & Benjamin Hilton< no role > , and why
the petrs should not be releived in the premisses in
such manner as to this Court should seem meet
Now upon hearing of what was insisted on by Mr. Serjt
Darnall of Councell for the Petr. & alsoe by Mr [..]
of Councell for the said late Churchwardens and
overseers of the poor touching the premisses, This Court
is of opinion that the allowance of the aforesaid
attempts [..] of the said late Churchwardens and
over Seers of the poor [..] by the
said Felix Feast< no role > & John pery< no role > as aforesaid ought not to be
conclusive, but that such attempts ought to be
further inspected & exammed into and doth sett aside & upcato such allowance whereupon
It is by consent of the aforesaid Councell on both
sides ordered by this Court that the said John

County or any Five of them (Quorum urns)
at such times & places as they shall appoint
with a true & perfect attempt of all sumes of
money reced by them the sd John Crockford< no role > peter pridmore< no role > Henry Chapman< no role > Jon: steward< no role > Tho: Foreman< no role > & Tho: Barksdale< no role > respectively or
rated & sessed & not reced, and alsoe of such
stock as is in [..] their respective hands or in the hands of any
of the poor of the sd parish to worke and of all
other things concerving theirhissd office, respectivelyaccording
to the direccon of the statute made in the fourty
third, year of the reign of the late Queen
Elizabeth, Jutiwhich said Referrees or any five of them are hereby
desired to [..] inspect examin & take such attempt
