Whereas it appeareth. unto us, Two of her Maties. Justices of ye peace for ye. Said
County (Quor unus) upon ye. Complt. of ye. churchwardens & Overseers
of ye. poor of ye. parish of St: Giles wthout. Cripplegate aforesd That.
Elizabeth Orrill< no role > a younge child about Five Months old daughter
of Robert Orrill< no role > & Elizabeth Orrill< no role > , was by her sd Mother Lately
brought into their sd. parish; her ye sd. Robert Orrill father of ye. sd
younge child not having any Legall Setlemt. there And Whereas it
appeareth unto us ye. sd. Justices of ye. peace, that ye. sd. Robert Orrill
further of ye. sd. Younge child hath absconded & wth. drawne himselfe from
his sd wife & child; and by reason of ye. poverty of his sd wife and
child, they haveings nothing wherewth; to maintaine themselves, the said
Elizabeth Orrill ye. sd younge child, now is & unavoidably will,
continue & be a great charge to ye. sd. parish of St. Giles without
Cripplegate , (if not speedily prevented) And Whereas it alsoe
appeareth unto us ye. sd. Justices upon ye. examinacon of ye. said
Elizabeth Orrill Mother of ye. sd. younge child upon Oath, that her
sd daughter Elizabeth Orrill ye. sd. younge child was borne in ye
dwellinge house of one Mr. Ball in Cross Lane in ye. parish
of St: Giles in ye Feilds aforesd. in ye. County of Middx aforesd. and
there she ye. sd Elizabeth [..] Orrill Mother of ye. sd younge child
Lived for ye. space of about Six Months; Nor ca [..] upon
strict examinacon finde that he ye. sd Robert Orrill father of ye.

the sd Younge child ought to be sent to ye. sd parish of St.Giles in the

her to receive & provide for, al her occacions shall require, as they doe for other poor
of their sd pish untill they Can otherwise free themselves of ye. charge thereof. by
