September 1799.

And Your said Committee Lastly Report
That the Average number of Prisoners in the House
of Correction since the last Session amounted to 250.
and it appeared to Your Committee by the Examination
of the Surgeon and Apothecary that the Prison was
generally healthy only 3 Prisoners in the Informery
and 32. with Venereal Complaints.

All Which the Committee Submit Etc.

Resolved That the said Report be Received and
Confirmed.

Resolved That the Meat furnished to the
Prisoners in the New House of Correction be, so boiled
as to produce not less than Six Ounces to each Prisoner.

Resovled That the Pott Liquor in which the Meat
is boiled be put by in Earthen Pans for the purpose of making
Soup in which two Ounces of Rice for each Prisoner
together with Leeks Onions and Carrotts the produce of
the Garden is to be put

Resolved That the Prison Committee do make
an Experiment of this and make a Report of their
Opinion thereof to the Sessions.

By adjournment same Day

The following Memorial was laid before the
Court by the County Treasurer and Read.

"Westminster Division.

To His Majesty's Justices of the peace for the County
of Middlesex in Session Assembled.

Their Treasurer Reports.

That in January last a Rate was made for
£8165..2s..5d and that the Westminster Division
Quota is £2861..14s..3d.
