Letter of notice to the
Magistrates that the
report of the above Commee
with the plans thereto
annex'd were in the office
of the Clerk of the peace
for perusal & inspection}

I have it in direction to inform you that at
February Session last a Committee of His Majestys Justices of
the peace for this County was appointed to take into Consideration
the building a new House of Correction for this County on a
Scale adapted to the Ground purchased of the Quakers together
with the Scite of the present House of Correction and to
prepare a plan or plans for that purpose; that such Committee
presented at the last Session a Report of their Proceedings
with a Plan of a House of Correction annexed and that by
Order of Court the said Report and plans are to be taken
into Consideration on Thursday the 8th. day of July next
the County day of the now next Session of the peace to be
holden for this County and in the mean time will be in my
Office at the Session House for the perusal and Inspection of
His Majestys Justices of the Peace acting in and for this
County. The Office is open every day (Sunday excepted)
from the Hours of Ten till Three and from Five till 8

in three of the Daily News Papers published in this County
of which the following is a Copy
