the Court shall [..] }

now vacant by the resignation of James Grozier shall be subject
to such Orders Regulations and Alterations as this Court shall
think proper to make respecting the Fees and Perquisites to be
received and taken by such Governour or Keeper and that he
shall not demand take or receive any other or greater Fees than
shall from time to time be settled and agreed to by this Court
and that such Governour or Keeper shall submit to and abide
by such Orders Regulations and Alterations in the Government
of the said Bridewell as shall hereafter be made respecting the
same, which motion being agreed to it was Ordered accordingly.

It Was also Moved that if by any such
Alteration or Reduction of the Fees and Perquisites to be taken by
the Governour or Keeper or by means of any Orders or Regulations
hereafter to be made respecting the Government of the said Bridewell
the Income or Produce of the said Office or Place should be reduced
under £300 a Year that any Deficiency under that Annual Sum
shall be made up by this Court out of the County Rate which Motion
being agreed to It was unanimously Resolved accordingly.

Resolved that the above Orders and Resolutions
be read this Day in the hearing of each Candidate and that no
Person be Admitted a Candidate till he has first consented to
abide by and obey the said Orders if Elected to the Office of
Governour or Keeper of Clerkenwell Bridewell

And then a Motion was made that the Persons
offering themselves as Candidates for the said Office be called in
and the same being agreed to and the Candidates being called and
Mr. John Harwood< no role > and Mr. Joel Banfield< no role > being the only Persons
that appeared before the Court to offer themselves as Candidates the
above Resolutions were read unto them and they having severally
agreed to accept the Office under and subject to the Conditions of the
above Orders and Regulations they were ordered to withdraw and
being withdrawn.
