Pursuant to the directions contained in 1 Act of parliament
lately Passed intituled "An Act for preserving the health of prisoner
"in Goal and preventing the Goal Distemper" Mr. Thomas Gibbs< no role > of N [..]
North Street Red Lyon Square Surgeon and Apothecary a persons
Experience in his profession as hereby appointed Surgeon and Apothecary
to New Prison at Clerkenwell and It is Ordered that he do
attend the said Prison as also the House of Correction at Clerkenwell
every day and as often as occasion may require to Examine int [..]
the State of health of such persons as are or shall be Confined there
that he do administer advice and Medicines to Such as are Sick and
not in heath and dress such as have Wounds Bruises or other
Hurts that he do find and provide all Such Medicines application
Instruments and Remedies as may be necessary in the Recovery
of the health and Cure of prisoners and that for his Shill
Attendance Trouble Case and Medicines he be from hence forth
allowed every Year during the time he shall Continue Sugeon
and Apothecary to the said prison the Sum of £60 such
annual Allowance to be paid to the said Thomas Gibbs< no role >
Quarterly by the Treasurer of this County until further order
to the Contrary

By adjournment Thursday 19th.

It is Ordered that the Committee appointed to Enquire after
a proper piece of Ground whereon to Erect a Session House for this
County do meet at Hicks Hall on Tuesday the 24th. of January
Instant at the hour of Eleven in the forenoon and do adjourn f [..]
