in the place and Stead of the said John Wells< no role > and that the said John
Hughes
< no role > on Notice hereof Do appear at the next General Session of
the Peace to be holden in and for the said County of Middlesex on
Tuesday the Seventeenth day of May next at the hour of Eleven in
the forenoon of the same day to take his Oath for the due Execution of
said office and that immediately from and after the time the said
John Hughes< no role > shall have taken the said. Oath the said John Well< no role >
is to stand absolutely discharged from his said Office

By the Court

Information being given to this Court that James Sturges
Adams
< no role > thatwho contracted for passing Vagrants in through and out of
County departed this life since the last Session of the peace holden for
this County and Henry Adams< no role > This name instance is in set 1591. Son of the said James Sturges< no role > having
offered to accept the said Contract It is ordered that the said Henry
Adams
< no role > This name instance is in set 1591. do execute the said Contract upon and under the said
Terms and Conditions as James Sturges< no role > Adams his late father
did until a new Contractor be Chosen

By the Court

Mr. Thomas Rogers< no role > to whom it had been referred to View
the west part of a new Building used as a Smelting House lately erected
on the East Boundary Wall belonging to the Estate of the County of
Middlesex at Clerkenwell in order to form an Opinion whether the
said New Building be an encroachment and how far and in what
manner the said Eruction is an Encroachment laid before this
Court the following Report Vizt. To the worshipful Sr. John Hawkin< no role >
Knt . & the rest of his Majestys Justices of the Peace Assembled
at their Sessions held for the County of Middlesex at Hicks Hall
on Thursday the 14th day of April 1774

Having in pursuance of an order of a Committee Surveyed that par [..]
of the East Boundary Wall of Bridewell Clerkenwell on which
it was reported that Mr. John Crawford< no role > of Rosomonds Row had
committed an Incroachment by building thereon part of a
Building used as a Smelting House; I do find on Inspection that side
of the said Boundary Walls next Mr. Crawfords Premises. that he
has not made use of the said boundary wall to support His building
but has framd Timbers within His own premises and detach'd
from the said Wall to support the Roof of His Buildings and
having only repaired the Top of the said Wall and side of it next
His own premises

which said Report being read It is ordered that the same report
do lie upon the table for the inspection of such of the Justices as may
wish to peruse the same
