It is ordered that the consideration of the legallity of the public performance of
Music at New Tunbridge Wells which stood adjourned at the last Sessions
be and the same is hereby further adjourned to the County day of the next
Session

Elliot continued

February 1774

It having been represented to this Court that George Elliot< no role > Gentleman
High Constable of the division of the Hundred of Ossoulston within this
County called the Tower division had been in the said Office for three
Years and upwards and several of his Majesty's Justices of the peace for this
County residing and Acting in the said Division being now here present
and having recommended it to the Court to continue the said George Elliot< no role >
in the office of High Constable for the said Division as well on Account
of his good behaviour in his office as his knowledge of the duties thereof. This
Court doth hereby continue and appoint the said George Elliot< no role > Gent
High Constable within the said division of the said Hundred of Ossulston
called the Tower Division

It is ordered that the plans Elevations and Section's of a New Sessions
house and prisons for this County delivered to the deputy Clerks of the peace
by Mr. Thomas Rogers< no role > the Surveyor be preserved for the Use of the County
and that the deputy Clerk of the peace do make a proper Schedule thereof

Application being made to this Court by the Revd. Mr. Richard for a
remission of part of his Duty as Chaplain to New prison and a debate
arising Mr. Richards was thereupon ordered to withdraw

Resolved that Mr. Richards be called in and acquainted that this Court
do not think proper to relax any part of the Agreement entered into by Mr.
Richards at the time of his Election to the office of Chaplain to New Prisons

Mr. Richards being called in the Chairman acquainted him with
the above resolution and Mr. Richards thereupon declared his acquiescence

Ordered that Mr. John Benson< no role > do lay before this Court on Saturday
next a state of his Accounts of Receipts and disbursements as Treasurer
of this County together with the names of the High Constables in arrear
and what Sums of the late Rate remain unpaid by them

Bye adjournment on Saturday 19th.. February

The order of the day being called for vizt. for the Attendance of Mr Benson
Etc. and the said order being read the Deputy Clerk of the peace produced and
