On Friday in the week next after the Feast of the Epiphany
(to wit) the 12th. day of January 1738.

Order for appointing Mrs.
Margt. Everson< no role > to act as
House keeper of Hicks hall
& Mr. John Daniel< no role > to act as
Cryer during this Sessions
and for Mr. Daniel to pay
her the fees of Court and
the Sheriff to pay her the
wages of Justices Etc}

Whereas the Offices or places of House keeper of Hicks Hall
and Cryer of the General Quarter and General Sessions of the
peace for this County are now vacant by the death of Mr.
Osborne the< no role > late House keeper and Cryer, This Court doth
appoint Mrs. Margaret Everson< no role > Widow to act as House keeper
of Hicks Hall and Mr. John Daniel< no role > to act as Cryer of this Court
during the continuance of this present Sessions, And doth
Order that the Said John Daniel< no role > do pay the Court fees by
him already received or to be received dureing this Sessions
as Cryer of this Court unto the said Margaret Everson< no role > , Out
of which the said John Daniel< no role > is to be paid and Satisfyed
So much money for his trouble and paines in acting as
Cryer this Sessions as the Court Shall in that behalf Order
and direct, And It is further Ordered by this Court that the
Sheriff of this County or his under Sheriff or Agent do pay
the wages of the Justices of the peace of this County and of
the Clerk of the peace for this present Sessions unto the said
