Whereas It appeareth to this Court by the Report of
Nathaniel Blackerby< no role > Robert Tothill< no role > Richard Farwell< no role >
and Andrew Osborne< no role > Esqrs . four of his Maties Justices of
the peace of this County And also by a presentment of the
Grand Jury Sworn & Charged at this present Generall
Sessions of the peace begun & Holden for the said County
on Monday the Twenty fifth day of August Instant and
from theme Continued & holden on this Twenty Eighth Day
of the same Month by Adjornment for the said County, to
inquire for our Sovereign Lord< no role > the King for the Body of this
County, That a great many Repairs are wanting & Necessary
to be done to the House of Correction at Clerkenwell in the
same County as in the said Report & Presentment are
Particularly Specified. It is Ordered by this Court
that It be, And It is hereby referred unto Joseph
Jackson
< no role > Bricklayer Richard Jupp< no role > Carpenter &
John-Stable< no role > plumber to view & see the State and
Condition of the said House of Correction , And what repairs
are wanting & necessary to be done thereto, And to make
an Estimate of what the said Repairs will Amount unto
And to make their Report in Writing touching the
premises to the Court of the next Sessions of the peace
for this County, And this Court doth Order that Copys of
the said Report & presentment as far as Relates to
Repairing and Strengthning the said prison be
given to the said Joseph Jackson< no role > Richard Jupp< no role > &
JohnStable< no role > .
