provide all materials & other necessarys to be done in and
about Hicks hall according to the plan then drawn &
delivered by the Said Mr. Hawksmore for the Sum of one
hundred & forty pounds being the Sum limited by Order
of Session, And that the Said Committee having no power
to give any more for the Said work & undertaking the Said
Committee were of opinion that the prices in the Said
Richards Jupp< no role > 's estimate of the Said work being low that
the Sum of five guineas more Should be allowed to the
Said Richard Jupp< no role > in case the Said work was well
performed to the Satisfaction of the Said Committee & the
Said Mr. Hawksmore, and which the Court in December
Session last did agree to & approve of, And that the Said
Committee did appoint & Order the Said Richard Jupp< no role > to
make two windows on the East Side of the Said Court and
two barrs & hinges to the doors in the front of the Court
for the Sum of ten pounds, and which was afterwards
agreed to by the Said Court in December Session last,
And that the Said Mr. Hawksmore haveing on the twenty
first day of May instant in writing under his hand
reported to the said Committee that he hath taken a Survey
of the Said work done by the Said Richard Jupp< no role > at Hicks
Hall aforesaid according to the plan & agreement, and
that it is well done & performed in a workman like
manner, and that the Said agreement was fully
compleated (except the ceiling of the Cubilo) And that
the Said Committee haveing likewise viewed the work
done & provided by the Said Richard Jupp< no role > pursuant to
the first mentioned Order of Court the Committee do find
and are Satisfyed that the Said Jupp hath performed
his agreement with the Said Committee (except the
ceiling of the Cubilo) and are of opinion that he
ought to be paid the Sum of forty pounds (in full of the
Sum of one hundred & forty pounds) and ten pounds
making together the Sum of fifty pounds, which
together with the Sum of One hundred pounds already
paid him by Order of Court in December last is in full of
his Said contract, And are further of opinion that the five
guineas agreed by the Court to be paid him over & above
