one pound and fifteen Shillings for the like Sum by him disbursed
& paid for the passing and releiving of Vagrants and in full of his
Said demand, And that the receipt of the Said Joseph Cook< no role > together
with this Order Shall be a Sufficient discharge to the Said
Treasurer for Such payment.

Order touching the Election
of a new high Constable of
Holborne Division in the
place of Mr. Alex Clarke< no role > }

Whereas Alexander Clarke< no role > Gent was appointed high Constable
of Holborne Division within the Hundred of Ossulston in this
County in Easter Sessions one thousand Seven hundred and
thirty one, And it being contrary to the tenor of an Order
made in January Sessions one thousand Seven hundred and
eighteen that any high Constable in this County Should
continue in his Office above the Space of three yeares, It is
therefore Ordered by this Court that it be And It is hereby
recommended unto his Maties Justices of the peace for this
County inhabiting within the Said Division to assemble and
meet together at the Crown Tavern in Bloomsbury Square on
Thursday the Sixteenth day of May next at ten of the clock in
the forenoon to consider of a fit person to be returned for high
Constable of the Said Division in the Stead & place of the Said
Alexander Clarke< no role > to the Court of the next General Sessions of the
peace for this County at Hicks hall on Thursday the thirtieth
day of the Said Month of May next, On which day the Court
will proceed to appoint a high Constable of the Said Division in
his Stead, And notice of the Said Meeting at the Said Crown
Tavern at the time above mentioned for the purpose aforesaid
is to be given unto all the Justices of the peace of this County
residing within Holborne Division aforesaid.

Order that fifteen Justices
shall be a Sufficient Number
to Order & direct the publick
busyness relateing to the
County of Middx unless
it relates to the granting
of any lease of any lands
or Tenements belonging
to the Said County}

Whereas twenty Justices of the peace of this County, and not
fewer, were heretofore deemed a competent Number to Order,
transact and direct the publick busyness relateing to the Said
County, which in Some cases hath been found to be
inconvenient for want of a Number of twenty Justices
present, It is Ordered by this Court that fifteen Justices of the
peace of this County Shall for the future be a competent and
Sufficient Number to Order, transact, and direct the publick
busyness relateing to the Said County, unless it doth relate to
the granting of any lease of any lands or tenements
belonging to the Said County, In which case no Order Shall
