Dec Sess: 1728

The Committee appointed by order of this court of the 14th
day of october last, upon Occasion of his Majestys
commands signified by letter from the right Honble.
The Lord viscount Townshend one of his Majestys
principal Secretarys of state, To the Justices of the
peace of this county to be vigilant in suppressing
and preventing such disorders, as are the cause of the
great Encrease of street Robberys and other Felonys,
To which committee it was amongst other things
referred To prepare and lay before the court such
Representations of any matters or of any difficultys
or obstructions in that service which should appear or
Occur to them, To the intent That proper directions might
be given or application made thereupon, and that
such difficulties and obstructions might be thereby
removed, having met at several times from the 26th
of October to the 30th. of november last inclusive, and
having in the course of their proceedings Received
Information, of some very Extraordinary demeanor
