to him that it is necessary that the said Bridge should be
covered with ballast or gravell, or that any other Repaires
are wanting and necessary to be done thereto, Then to take
an accompt thereof in writing, And to give such directions
and Employ such Workman or Workmen for the doeing
thereof as he shall think proper and to make a Report
in writing of his proceedings and of what Costs and Charges
may accrew in relacon to the premisses unto the Court of
General of Quarter Sesions of the peace for this County.

Whereas by an Order made at the General Sessions of the
peace holden for this County by Adjournmt. on Fryday the
fourteenth day of August last two Wharfes or Campshott
above the said Bridge formerly erected to Secure the foot
thereof, and the other Campshott below the said Bridge
which were then very much out of repair were to be
effectually repaired soe as the Charge of repairing the
same and finding materials for that purpose did not
exceed the Sume of two hundred and fifty six pounds in
the whole And Whereas James Clitherow< no role > and Richard
Bustrode
< no role > Esqrs . two of his Maties. Justices of the Peace
for this County have by writing under their hands Certi-
fied that they have Viewed the reparacons to the said
two Campshotts or whearfes above and below Chertsin
Bridge aforesaid, and find the same performed by
Francis Browne< no role > of the parish of Laleham in the
said County Carpenter in a workmanlike & Substantiall
manner recording to his proposal menconed in the said
Order, the Charges thereof Amounting to the said Sume
of two hundred and fifty six pounds, And that they
are of opinion that the same be forthwith paid to
him for the said reparacons It is Ordered by this
Court that upon the said Francis Browne< no role > 's entering
into a Contract under his hand and steel unto Sr. Issac
Tillard Knt. Sr . Daniel Dolins< no role > Knt. James Clitherow< no role > , &
Stephen Hall< no role > Esqrs . Justices of the Peace for this County
for Keeping the said two Campshotts or Wharfes in gard
